Unmanaged switch with industry grade design
The robust SCALANCE XC-/XCM-100 unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches – with electrical and/or optical port variants – enable cost-optimized networking at the machine level. With the SCALANCE XCM108PoE, you also save installation costs thanks to integrated Power over Ethernet functionality: Data and power are transferred over a single cable.

SCALANCE XC-100 unmanaged switches are designed for use in control cabinets. They can withstand harsh conditions and can be used in extreme temperatures, from -40°C to +70°C, and in areas at risk of explosion rated Zone 2 in accordance with ATEX and IECEx.
The compact and powerful SCALANCE XCM-100 unmanaged switches series can be used for Gigabit or Power over Ethernet use cases in the mainstream range. The SCALANCE XCH-100 variant is available for extended environmental conditions and high-end applications.

The main advantage of unmanaged switches is that they do not need to be configured. They can be easily integrated into your industrial network. This enables fast network integration. At the same time, however, unmanaged switches have a limited range of functions in contrast to managed switches.
